Mixed media collage finished in encaustic wax and oil paint and mounted in a hand painted frame. Featuring the image of an unknown woman from a victorian carte de visite taken at George Hadley Photography studio, which was at the top of the beautiful Steep Hill in Lincoln in the 1890’s. She was the inspiration, and this is one of the studies in preparation for, my painting "Beatrice".
