Portrait commissions
I offer portrait commissions in oil paint and drawing media (graphite & charcoal)
Generally smaller drawings are made in graphite and larger pieces in charcoal.
Oil paintings can be made in any size to suit your hanging space.

Prices
Prices are based on how much time a piece will take to make and any preparation required before I start, such as a compositional mock-ups. They are for the artwork alone but I can also frame your portrait for an additional cost. I am happy to work from your photographs if they are of a suitable quality, however, I prefer to meet my subjects and take my own because this allows me to capture a better likeness and generally produces a more artistically pleasing outcome. There is an additional charge of £150 for a photoshoot plus potential travel expenses.
Achieving a strong likeness to each subject is of utmost importance to me which makes commissions time consuming. Hence, I only take a limited number and there is a waiting list.
I ask for a 50% deposit to secure a booking.
