Prices
My prices are based on how much time a piece will take to make and any preparation required before I start, such as a photoshoot or compositional mock-ups.
I have a waiting list and ask for a 50% deposit to secure a booking.

Some of the prices quoted here are for standard UK paper sizes to help you visualise the scale but all media can be made in custom sizes to suit your hanging space. For example square is a popular option.

Pencil Portraits
Pencil drawings are best suited to drawings ranging from 20cm to 60 cm.
The larger the drawing the more detail I am able to include.
These prices are for head and shoulder portraits as illustrated.
For the inclusion of other elements such as hands, clothing and background detail there will be an additional cost of £50 - £100.
Frames & mounts are for illustration only, prices are for the drawing alone.
Double portraits are only available A3 (30cm) and larger.

Charcoal Portraits
Charcoal drawings are best suited to drawings ranging from 40 to 100 cm.

As A1 and larger drawings are a big investment I recommend a photoshoot where I meet the subjects, take a large number of photos and advise on the selection of reference images. There is an additional charge of £15o (and potentially travel expenses depending on your location) for this.

Double portraits are only available 60cm x 60cm or larger.

This 100 x 100 cm portrait of 3 siblings cost £1500.
Oil Portraits
Oil portraits can be made at any size to suit your hanging space.

I can work from your photographs, but where ever possible I recommend a photoshoot so that I am able to meet the subjects, take a large number of photos and advise on the selection of reference images. There is an additional charge which is based on the number of people in the shoot which starts at £15o (and potentially travel expenses depending on your location) for this.
Frames are for illustration only, prices are for just the painting on canvas or board.
