Beautiful drawings are such a treasure;  think timeless alternative to a framed photo. They really are timeless, several clients have commissioned  me because they feel a drawing will date much better than a photograph.

I love working with both graphite and charcoal, their creative versatility allows me to combine accurate realism with expressive mark marking to produce strong emotive works. Graphite is good for details so is perfect for capturing a likeness at a smaller scale while the range of tonal values which can be achieved in charcoal make it ideal for large, bold pieces to create an impressive focal point in a room. 

I work on heavy weight, acid free paper and because of their naturally inert natures graphite & charcoal are ideal for archival portraits.​​​
